Games for 11–12 year olds

Older kids get bored of easy games fast. These ones ask for planning, reasoning and a bit of strategy, the kind of thinking that carries over to school.

Build a city and beat its traffic in Skyline Mayor, run a racing team for a whole season in F1 Manager, or solve 30 logic recipes in Potion Lab, where the order of ingredients matters. Contraption Lab is a marble-machine engineering sandbox, Geo Explorer turns geography into a clue-solving game, and Slingshot Quarterback rewards reading the defence.

Potion Lab's recipes are checked by a solver, so every one can be brewed, and a Hint button shows the next best step when someone is stuck.

Questions parents ask

Is Playzoo free?

Most Playzoo games are completely free, and every game is free to start. An optional family plan ($4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial) unlocks the rest of the bigger games, plus progress sync across devices and family scoreboards.

Does my child need an account?

No. Anyone can play straight away without signing up. A parent can create a free account to add up to 4 child profiles; kids pick their profile by picture and never type anything about themselves.

Are there ads, chat or tracking?

No ads, no chat and no third-party trackers. Playzoo doesn't collect personal information from children, and only parents can have accounts.

What do we need to play?

Just a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There's nothing to download or install.
