Games for 5–7 year olds

These games are made for children who are just starting to read and count. Instructions are short, many games read their tasks aloud, and big buttons make them easy to play on a tablet or phone.

There's early maths with Number Train, which adapts as your child improves, and a sea-life adventure in Tide Pool Detective. Doodle Bridge is a crayon physics puzzle, Memory Match a classic pairs game, and Doodle Studio a drawing pad. For Halloween there's Pumpkin Carver and Ghost Hide & Seek, both cosy and not scary.

In the learning games a wrong answer gets a friendly nudge and a hint rather than a penalty.

Questions parents ask

Is Playzoo free?

Most Playzoo games are completely free, and every game is free to start. An optional family plan ($4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial) unlocks the rest of the bigger games, plus progress sync across devices and family scoreboards.

My child can't read yet. Can they play?

Yes. Animal Quiz, Number Train, Tide Pool Detective, Pumpkin Carver and Ghost Hide & Seek read their questions and instructions aloud, and Memory Match, Fruit Catcher, Doodle Studio and Doodle Bridge need little or no reading.

Are there ads, chat or tracking?

No ads, no chat and no third-party trackers. Playzoo doesn't collect personal information from children, and only parents can have accounts.

What do we need to play?

Just a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There's nothing to download or install.
